2011 Gift Project: Thank You!

The 2011 Gift Project was a huge success. It was our biggest Gift Project to date!!
We were able to provide assistance to over 1150 individuals this past December, over 500 of them being children. We had over 500 volunteers involved with shopping, wrapping, and delivering over 6,500 gifts during this event. This year we partnered with 11 agencies including: Caritas House, Ronald McDonald House, Mountaineer Boys and Girls Club, Bartlett House, the Friendship Room, Christian Help, Pressley Ridge, WVU Children's Hospital, and Mental Health America of Monongalia County.
We can not thank enough the amazing volunteers and supporters who make this event possible. Thank you for joining the team and impacting those facing hard times during this Christmas season!
We want to hear from you! If you were a part of the 2011 Gift Project, please take a moment and complete our survey.

What an amazing experience!!! Thank you!
I was only planning to help wrap gifts, but as I was leaving I saw all the gifts that still needed to be taken to families. After calling my husband, we agreed I would deliver gifts to a family that was chosen. I met the family at a local store's parking lot, and it was the most rewarding thing I did during Christmas 2011! The parents came to meet me, they talked to me, waved and talked to my children in the backseat of my car as I unloaded the 7 bags of gifts for their family. They kept saying things like, "Oh my gosh, and Wow, we can't believe these are all for our family"... As they told me their current situation, I kindly reminded them that they didn't have to explain themselves to me. I was just a volunteer, and to know that these gifts made their lives a little happier, a little less stressful, and their bodies warmer during the winter has made me so thankful to be a part of their happiness; I was also reminded of how thankful I am for the many blessings I have in my own family! As our meeting came to an end, i hugged each one of them, Wished them a Merry Christmas and told them God Bless! Driving home, I had tears in my eyes, but so much joy in my heart!!! I'm so proud to have been a part of the Hoss Foundation this past year!!! Next year, our family plans to shop, wrap, and deliver gifts to a special family in need. Thank you to Jeff & his family for making a difference in the lives of the people in our local communities!
That's an awesome story Megan
