Our goal in the 2011 Days of Hope Project is to make the remodeling of the Smith family's house a reality. (Click here to read the Smith Family's Story.) We have a construction company that is going to provide the expertise and coordination of the construction. But, we need your help! First step - demolition!  That’s right, how often do you get an invite to swing a sledge hammer and tear down walls on someone else’s house. We are looking for volunteers to give a couple hours of their time to help make this project a reality and bring the Smith family home.

On Saturday, April 16th from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM we will be working on the Smith’s house. We will provide lunch for everyone. We have plenty of work to do - so bring your family, friends, youth group, sports team, classmates, and anyone that wants to have an impact. Please dress for construction work. Hard toed shoes are highly recommended. Work gloves and safety glasses are encouraged.  If you have any sledge hammers, hammers, crow bars, spud bars, snickers bars, or demolition tools that you think would help, please bring them and the appropriate battery packs. The following week, with the help of donated time, local contractors are pitching in their labor and expertise to get the project framed and under roof. We need your help. If you are a builder or know one, we ask for one day of their crew’s time to donate to the project. If you are a building materials supplier or know one, we ask if they have any building materials they can donate to the project. Tax Receipts will be provided on eligible donations received by the Hoss Foundation, for the project. If you can help, please contact the Hoss Foundation.
